Paragard IUD (intrauterine device) is a flexible T-shaped device that is used to prevent pregnancy. Manufactured by the Cooper Company, Paragard is the only IUD that does not use any hormones. Instead, Paragard uses copper to prevent pregnancies.
Paragard, and other IUDs are the most effective forms of birth control on the market today. However, IUD's have their own form of complications. These complications often occur during removal of the device.
